Hey all-
Thanks so much for checking in with me today! I will try to get back to everyone soon, perhaps tomorrow while we are traveling. We spent the day tying up loose ends before we leave Colorado tomorrow for Boston. I have three appointments on Wednesday the 20th (exactly one month after I found THE lump in ole rightie) at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The breast surgeon, Dr. Katharine Carter, at 1p; the oncologist, Dr. Leroy Parker, at 2p; and a plastic surgeon, Dr. Talbot, at 3:45p. We are hoping to have an idea of what options are available to me, and what we want to do after these appointments. I will certainly post a post ASAP after those consultations!!!
Love you Cath! I’m so glad that you have your blog so I don’t have to bug you constantly for updates on how you are doing. I’m sure you are flooded with texts, emails and calls so just know that I’m thinking of you and I hope tomorrow goes well, I’ll be thinking of you. I have a good video to send you tomorrow so you’ll have something to laugh at while you are waiting 🙂
Good luck today my beautiful friend!!!! Please know we are always thing of you and Bing:) We love and miss you guys!!! Xoxoxo
Hey Cathy!
I know it’s been a long time since we’ve spoken, but you’ve been on our minds, especially in recent days. Dad just told me about your diagnosis a couple of days ago. This stinks, Cathy! What I really mean to say is that this SUCKS!!! Karol and I wish you only the best and are sending positive thoughts and wishes your way each day. Yes, life does throw us a curveball at times, but it’s what we do with it, how we handle it, and most importantly how we let ourselves feel about what’s happening during that time in our lives. Allow yourself to FEEL everything, you have every right! You’re a strong woman, Cathy, and I’m sure that at times, you’re too tired to stay strong, especially with everything that’s coming at you, but we’re all here, near or far, to cheer for you!
All our love,
John and Karol
Awe, thanks guys! I really appreciate the support. =) I hope you are doing great!
Cathy,
You have our love, thoughts, prayers and positive energy. I’m so glad to hear that you will be in Boston with family and friends at this difficult time. I wish we could be there to give you our (gentle) hugs as well. Your are in our hearts. We love you.

Thinking of you, and hoping you find doctors that make you comfortable. Although you may not feel it, you are doing great. I find the fact that you picked up and went to Boston (even if you knwo people there) so impressive, and indicative that you can handle anything. I live in NYC and had a world of surgeons at my fingertips and was still scared to death!
